This month we explore making connections with clouds. Next time there are clouds in the sky grab a blanket and enjoy a little story time under some white fluffy clouds.
Books about clouds to enjoy:
Clouds (Let’s-Read-and-Find-Out Science) by Anne Rockwell–Let’s Read-and-Find-Out Science books are great beginning science books. This book explains how clouds are formed and the different types of clouds. It also includes an experiment in the back for how to make a cloud in a jar.
Explore My World Clouds by Marfe Delano–A nice introduction to clouds for students in PreK to first grade. Lots of real pictures paired with simple text on each page make this a great book for young readers.
National Geographic Kids Everything Weather by Kathy Furgang–This book is full of fun facts and amazing photographs. There is information about clouds to be found.
The Cloud Book by Tomie de Paola–This book describes the different types of clouds, along with stories and myths about them.
It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles Shaw–The white shape silhouetted against a blue background changes on every page. Is it a rabbit, a bird, an ice cream cone, or just spilt milk?
Little Cloud by Eric Carle–In this delightful book, the little cloud floats and does his own thing changing shape.
